IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) has launched a new program for postgraduate students – a Master of Arts (MA) in Bhagavad Gita Studies and Astrology. This unique initiative aims to offer a blend of traditional knowledge and modern learning for students interested in these ancient subjects. The new course combines the spiritual teachings of the Bhagavad Gita with the study of astrology, making it a distinctive option for scholars passionate about both.
The program will be available at the university’s study center in Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, offering students a chance to delve deep into the philosophical and astrological aspects of Indian heritage. The university has announced that the admissions for the 2025 academic session are now open, with the last date for applications set for January 31, 2025.
This MA program is expected to provide students with a deep understanding of the Bhagavad Gita’s spiritual teachings, along with practical skills in astrology, bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and contemporary educational trends. It’s ideal for those interested in spiritual studies, metaphysical sciences, or exploring Indian philosophy and astrology.
IGNOU, known for its innovative approach to education, continues to introduce programs that cater to diverse interests. The MA in Bhagavad Gita Studies and Astrology is expected to attract a wide range of students, including those from various disciplines like philosophy, religious studies, and alternative sciences.
